A low insurance offer showed me what details matter.
Spur Auto started after my own insurer tried to lowball me following an accident. As a car enthusiast, I knew the value was in the details they missed.
Why I started Spur Auto
After an accident, my insurance company sent an offer that did not reflect what my vehicle was actually worth. Their comparison vehicles had problems that should have disqualified them: some carried salvage titles or accident histories, and some were listed at a price that did not match the dealer's real asking price. In one case, a report showed a dealer listing at $8,000 when the vehicle was actually offered for $10,000.
I was able to push back because I am an avid car enthusiast. I understand how the right mileage, trim level, and option packages affect a vehicle's value - and I know how to find a good comparable instead of taking the first number on a report at face value. That work helped me recover thousands of dollars more for my vehicle.
I started Spur Auto to share that knowledge with other drivers. Whether you are reviewing an insurance offer or shopping for a vehicle, our services are built to help you recognize the details that make a real difference in price.

We are here to help drivers look closely at the details behind an insurance offer and make more informed decisions about their next steps.
Specialized
We know that two vehicles with the same model name can have very different values. Trim, equipment, mileage, condition, and history all deserve a close look.
Enthusiast-led
We bring an enthusiast's eye to finding and comparing vehicles. That means looking beyond the headline price to the details that determine real value.
If your offer is fair, we'll tell you
Not every claim is underpaid. When the free review shows your insurer's number is reasonable, we say so and send you on your way - no upsell, no pressure. A second opinion only means something if you can trust the person giving it.
